Greek voice over recording services for your project
Greek, more precisely the Modern Greek language, is the official language of Greece and Cyprus and one of the 24 official languages of the European Union. In Italy, Albania and Turkey, Greek is also an official regional language. It is spoken by approximately 13 million people as their mother tongue.
The Greek language belongs to the Indo-European languages and is one of the oldest languages in Europe. Greek uses the Greek alphabet, which has existed in its present form for almost 2,500 years. The Latin alphabet, for example, has developed from the Greek language.
Greek dialects, which nowadays do not differ so much from each other, can be divided into 2 main groups: the northern dialects, as they are spoken mostly on the mainland and in neighboring countries, and the southern dialects, as they are spoken on the southern islands and Cyprus.
Compared to the ancient Greek of that time, the grammar of today’s Greek went through numerous simplifications, e.g. in ancient Greek there was still the dual in use, in today’s Greek only singular and plural are used. The sentence structure in Greek follows the SVO schema (subject-verb-object), as for example also with the English, German or French language.
We have already implemented a considerable number of projects in Greek, including commercials for the technology group Toshiba; numerous web-based training courses (WBTs) for the automobile manufacturer BMW; voice prompts for the defibrillator manufacturer Zoll Medical; educational videos for the European Commission and product videos for Loctite, a Henkel brand.
Voice over recordings in Greek are carried out in professional recording studios located in Greece. We work with native speakers who have a perfect command of the Greek language and are trained professional voice talents.
