Basque voice over recording services for your project
In the Spanish Basque Country (in the provinces of Guipozcoa, Biscay and Álava), the Basque language (Basque) has had the status of an official regional language alongside Spanish since 1978. In Navarre, it has been an official language of the Basque-speaking communities since 1986, alongside Spanish.
Basque is spoken by about 750,000 people in the Basque Country (Euskal Herria), which is the Spanish-French border region on the Atlantic coast. More than 700,000 of them live in Spain. Worldwide, it is estimated that there are about 1 million Basque native speakers.
Basque is not genetically related to any other known language, so it is the only isolated language of the entire European continent. The firm roots of Basque in the Basque population and its strong ethnic and linguistic awareness contribute significantly to the existence of the language.
The Basque language is divided into seven main dialects, spoken in the Basque-speaking areas of Spain and France. These can still be subdivided into subdialects according to their regional distribution.
One of the linguistic characteristics of Basque is, that it is an agglutinative language, i.e. it appends different endings to a word which define it more precisely.
We have already implemented several projects in Basque, including the recordings for a video tutorial and the production of voice announcements for a telephone system for the airlines Eurowings and Germanwings.
Voice over recordings in Basque are carried out in professional recording studios located in Spain. We work with native speakers who have a perfect command of the Basque language and are trained professional voice talents.
