Hindi voice over recording services for your project
Hindi is, besides English, the official language of India since 1950 and after Chinese and English the third most spoken language in the world. Over 650 million people in India and the surrounding area speak Hindi as their mother tongue or second language. Hindi variants are also spoken in Fiji, Guyana and Suriname.
Hindi belongs to the so-called Indo-Iranian languages, as well as Persian from Iran, and is mainly spoken in the north Indian states. It is derived from the Prakrit languages and is closely related to Urdu.
Hindi is written in Devanagari and contains many loanwords borrowed from Sanskrit (so-called Tatsamas). In the course of time, words and expressions from foreign languages, such as Arabic and Persian, have flowed into Hindi, but also many English loan words are used. Conversely, Indian words such as “shampoo” and “jungle” are known in German. There are many local dialects of Hindi.
Grammatically Hindi follows the SOV-schema (subject-object-verb), as it is the same for example with Korean. This circumstance complicates the synchronization of German or English films into Hindi.
We have already implemented several projects in Hindi, including the recordings for educational movies for the UN and the UNICEF; web-based training courses (WBTs) for Sonic E-Learning Inc; product movies for BASF; voice prompt recordings for a navigation system for Pioneer; telephone voice announcement systems for Hilti and much more.
Voice over recordings in Hindi are carried out in professional recording studios located in India. We work with native speakers who have a perfect command of the Hindi language and are trained professional voice talents.
