Bengali is the official language in Bangladesh and in the Indian states of West Bengal, Tripura and the Barak Valley in the state of Assam, where it is spoken by the majority of the population. In Bangladesh, about 98 percent of the population speak Bengali as their mother tongue, which is over 160 million inhabitants. In India, about 80 million people speak Bengali as their mother tongue. This makes it the second most spoken language in India after Hindi. There are also larger groups of Bengali speakers in the United States of America and Great Britain.

The Bengali language, also called Bangla, belongs to the Indo-Aryan branch of the Indo-Aryan subgroup of Indo-European languages. The Bengali language, also called Bangla, is spoken by over 233 million people as their mother tongue, making it one of the most widely spoken languages in the world.

Bengali is written in the Brahmic script, which is related to the Devanagari, with which Hindi and Sanskrit are also written. The alphabet consists of eleven vowels and 36 consonants. In addition to the ten vowel abbreviations, there are three secondary phonetic signs to indicate the pronunciation of the vowel. Bengali numbers are traditionally written with their own numerals, but the internationally used Indian numbers are also used.

Bengali is followed by the subject-object-verb-sentence position, as for example Turkish, and uses postal positions; there is no grammatical gender.

We have already implemented a number of projects in Bengali, including the audio production for educational videos, for the UNICEF and the ADCO (Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations), as well as on-board announcements for the airlines flydubai and Emirates.

Voice over recordings in Bengali are carried out in professional recording studios located in India. We work with native speakers who have a perfect command of the Bengali language and are trained professional voice talents.
