Malayalam is the official language of Kerala, the union territories of Lakshadweep and Mahé, the enclave of Puducherry. The language Malayalam is spoken mainly in the state of Kerala at the southwest coast of India and in some adjoining areas in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
