Punjabi voice over recording services for your project
Punjabi is a language spoken in India and Pakistan. It is an official language in the Indian state of Punjab and one of India’s 22 constitutional languages. In Pakistan, Punjabi has no official status despite the many native speakers. Punjabi belongs to the Indo-Aryan branch of the Indo-Aryan subgroup of Indo-European languages.
In India, Punjabi is spoken by about 33 million speakers and in Pakistan by more than 80 million native speakers. Abroad today there is a greater number of Punjabi speakers in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and the Gulf region.
In Punjabi, the difference between dialects and individual languages is not always unambiguous, many old dialects and vernaculars are now recognized as independent languages. Punjabi is usually written in its own Gurmukhi script, but some speakers in India also use the Devanagari script.
Punjabi differs from other North Indian languages in being a so-called tonal language. The emphasized syllable can be spoken in three different tones – the constant normal tone, the low-rising tone and the high-falling tone.
We have already implemented several projects in Punjabi, including the sound recording of a telephone survey system for patients for the pharmaceutical company ICON and Janssen.
Voice over recordings in Punjabi are carried out in professional recording studios located in India. We work with native speakers who have a perfect command of the Punjabi language and are trained professional voice talents.
