Gujarati is spoken by about 56 million people as their mother tongue, which means that it is the sixth most spoken language in India. It is mainly spoken in the Indian state of Gujarat, whose borders were established in 1960 along the Gujarati language border. Also, in the Mumbai area there is a larger number of Gujarati speaking people. 52 million Gujarati-speaking people live in Gujarat, where they make up 86 percent of the population. Furthermore, Gujarati has also been spoken since the British colonial period in various African states as well as by Indian people in the Gulf states, Great Britain, the United States and Canada.

Gujarati is the official language in the federal state of Gujarat and in the union territories of Daman and Diu as well as Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Gujarati is recognized as one of India’s 22 national languages.

Gujarati belongs to the Indo-Aryan branch of the Indo-Aryan subgroup of Indo-European languages.

Like many Indian languages, Gujarati uses its own script, the Gujarati script. This is quite similar to the Devanagari script, but the Gujarati script lacks the characteristic upper crossbar. Gujarati and closely related languages such as Kutchi and Parkari Koli can be written in Arabic or Persian scripts.

Gujarati follows the subject-object-verb sentence structure, such as Japanese. There are three grammatical gender, genderless English words must take one.

We have already implemented a number of projects in Gujarati, including the production of telephone-based patient survey systems for the pharmaceutical companies Janssen and ICON.

Voice over recordings in Gujarati are carried out in professional recording studios located in India. We work with native speakers who have a perfect command of the Gujarati language and are trained professional voice talents.
