Swiss Italian voice over recording services for your project
Italian for Switzerland is one of four official languages in Switzerland. In the two Swiss cantons of Ticino and Grisons, about half a million people speak the Swiss version of Italian as their mother tongue.
The Italian language in general belongs to the Romance languages within the Indo-European language family.
Swiss Italian differs from Italian spoken in Italy mainly in so-called “Helvetisms”, typical Swiss-German words that have been incorporated into the Italian language of Switzerland. French and Rhaeto-Romanic, two other official languages of Switzerland, have also strongly influenced the vocabulary of Swiss Italian. However, there are also small differences in spelling, some of which are based on Swiss-German spelling. Also particularly in Swiss Italian is the use of umlauts, which do not exist in Italian, as it is spoken in Italy. In pronunciation, on the other hand, there are virtually no differences.
We have already implemented a considerable number of projects in Italian for Switzerland, including numerous TV commercials for the Swiss telecommunications provider mobilezone; radio ads for the fashion company Charles Vögele; image films for the insurance provider ElipsLife, SUVA, AXA and Generali; training videos for Schweizerische Post; telephone messages for Oerlikon; television billboards for the Tour de Suisse 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018; production of telephone-based patient survey systems for the pharmaceutical company ICON and many more.
Voice over recordings in Italian for Switzerland are carried out in professional recording studios located in Switzerland or Italy. We work with native speakers who have a perfect command of the Swiss Italian language and are trained professional voice talents.
