Dutch voice over recording services for your project
Dutch is the official language of the Netherlands, Belgium and Suriname as well as the Caribbean islands of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, Saba, Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten. It is also one of the 24 official languages of the European Union. Dutch is spoken by about 25 million people as their mother language.
Dutch belongs to the West Germanic languages within the Indo-European language family. Dutch is one of the closest relatives of both German and English and is colloquially expressed to be “about in between” them.
In Dutch in the Netherlands and in Belgium there are 3 main dialect groups: Lower Franconian, Lower Saxon and Ripuaric. The most important main dialect group is Lower Franconian with the dialects Dutch, Brabantian, East Flemish, West Flemish, South Guelderish, Zeelandisch and Limburgish. Lower Saxon dialects are mainly spoken in the northeast of the Netherlands and in the northwest of Germany. Ripuarian dialects are spoken in the Netherlands in a very small area between Maastricht and Aachen. The Cologne city dialect also belongs to this dialect group.
There are many similarities between Dutch and the German language. Especially in the grammar there are almost no differences. The sentence structure in Dutch follows the SVO scheme (subject-verb-object), as for example also in French or Russian. Dutch uses the Latin script with its own alphabet.
Voice over recordings in Dutch are carried out in professional recording studios located in the Netherlands. We work with native speakers who have a perfect command of the Dutch language and are trained professional voice talents.
