Danish voice over recording services for your project
Danish is the official language of Denmark, the Faroe Islands and Greenland and one of the 24 official languages of the European Union. It is also a minority language in Germany. Danish is spoken by about 5.5 million people as their mother tongue and half a million as a second language.
Danish belongs to the Scandinavian languages within the Indo-European language family. Along with Swedish, Danish descends from the Eastern dialects of the Old Norse language. The Danish standard language is also called “rigsdansk” (Danish of the Realm). Danish is divided into three dialect groups which differ from modern Standard Danish in both phonology and grammar: Jutlandic, Insular Danish and Bornholmian. Standard Danish is the language based on dialects spoken in and around the capital, Copenhagen.
The Danish grammar is very similar to German grammar. There are also four cases: nominative, genitive, dative and accusative. Nominative, dative and accusative are exactly the same as in the German language. The sentence structure in Danish follows the SVO scheme (subject-verb-object), as for example also in German, English or Russian. Danish uses the Latin script with its own alphabet.
Voice over recordings in Danish are carried out in professional recording studios located in Denmark. We work with native speakers who have a perfect command of the Danish language and are trained professional voice talents.
