Czech voice over recording services for your project
Czech is the official language of the Czech Republic and, since 2004, one of the 24 official languages of the European Union. It is also a recognized minority language in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Austria, Poland, Romania and Slovakia.
About 11 million people speak Czech as their mother tongue, of which approximately 10.5 million live in the Czech Republic.
Together with Slovak, Polish, Kashubian and Sorbian, the Czech language belongs to the West Slavic languages and thus to the Indo-European language family. The relationship to Slovak is particularly close due to the common history of Czechoslovakia. Both languages can be used officially as minority languages in each other’s country.
A distinction is made between five Czech dialect groups with various sub-groups, although the influence of the original dialects has declined considerably in recent centuries and often only regional accentuations have survived.
Today’s colloquial language is called Common Bohemian or Common Czech and is the oral form of the Czech language used in everyday communication that clearly differs from the written language.
Czech is written in the Latin alphabet and uses diacritical signs to reproduce Czech sounds. Czech is a highly inflectional language with seven grammatical cases.
Voice over recordings in Czech are carried out in professional recording studios located in the Czech Republic. We work with native speakers who have a perfect command of the Czech language and are trained professional voice talents.
