Slovak voice over recording services for your project
Slovak is the official language of Slovakia, one of the official languages of the autonomous Serbian province of Vojvodina and, since 2004, one of the 24 official languages of the European Union.
Slovak is spoken by about five million native speakers in Slovakia and about two million people worldwide. About one million of them live in the USA and Canada.
The Slovak language belongs together with Czech, Polish, Kashubian and Sorbian to the West Slavic languages and thus to the Indo-European language family. The relationship to Czech is particularly close due to the common history of Czechoslovakia. Both languages may be used officially as minority languages in the other country. Today’s Slovak written language was established in the 1840s on the basis of a central Slovak dialect. In addition, a large number of dialects are spoken, which can be divided into the three main groups of Eastern Slovak, Central Slovak and Western Slovak dialects.
Slovak is written with the Latin alphabet and uses diacritical characters to reproduce the Slovak sounds. Slovak is a strongly inflecting language with six grammatical cases.
We have already implemented several projects in Slovak, including the production of telephone-based patient survey systems and the complete production of explanatory videos for the pharmaceutical company ICON; voice recordings for a web-based training (WBT) for the automobile manufacturer BMW; a corporate video for Partylite and several radio ads for the airline Air Berlin.
Voice over recordings in Slovak are carried out in professional recording studios located in Slovakia or the Czech Republic. We work with native speakers who have a perfect command of the Slovak language and are trained professional voice talents.
