Zulu voice over recording services for your project
The Zulu language, or more precisely isiZulu, is one of 11 official languages in South Africa and a minority language in Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique and Swaziland. Zulu is spoken as a mother tongue by approximately 12 million people.
isiZulu is the language of the Zulu people, belongs to the Bantu languages within the Niger-Congo language family and is closely related to isiXhosha, the language of the Xhosa people.
The Zulu language knows several dialects, and like most other Bantu languages, Zulu uses the Latin script system and its own alphabet. Zulu has a simple structure of vowels but is rich in unusual consonants and is pronounced by clicks, which are formed in different ways by clicking with the tongue. Zulu is also a tone language. In tone languages, the meaning of the word changes with a change of tone. Zulu has two tones: high and low. The sentence structure in Zulu follows the SVO scheme (subject verb object), like for example also in English, German or Russian.
In addition, the Zulu language has a class system with far more categories than those commonly used in Indo-European languages (male, female, objective). There are classes for humans, relatives, animals, plants, objects and abstract concepts.
We have already implemented some projects in Zulu language, including several telephone-based patient survey systems for the pharmaceutical company ICON.
Voice over recordings in Zulu language are carried out in professional recording studios located in South Africa. We work with native speakers who have a perfect command of the Zulu language and are trained professional voice talents.
