Tswana voice over recording services for your project
Tswana, also known as Setswana, is the official language in Botswana, South Africa and Zimbabwe. Tswana is spoken by about 5 million people as their mother tongue.
Tswana belongs to the Bantus languages within the Niger-Congo language family and is closely related to Sesotho. The language is characterized by so-called “click sounds”, which are formed in different ways by clicking with the tongue.
Tswana uses the Latin writing system and its own alphabet. There are 9 vowels and the vocabulary of Tswana comes mainly from the Bantus languages. Tswana also knows many European and Afrikaans loan words. There are 7 noun groups in which 6 can form a plural. The sentence structure in Tswana follows the SVO scheme (subject-verb-object), as for example also in English, German or Russian.
We have already implemented some projects in Tswana, including several telephone-based patient survey systems for the pharmaceutical company ICON.
Voice over recordings in Tswana are carried out in professional recording studios located in South Africa. We work with native speakers who have a perfect command of the Tswana language and are trained professional voice talents.
